Biomass CHP Renewable Energy for a Circular Economy

Environ Biomass Combined Heat and Power systems provide a strong business case using renewable fuels such as sawdust, woodchips, animal bedding, poultry manure, bark, straw, rice, husks, bio-sludges and other organic materials that fuels a biomass boiler or furnace to produce heat.

The combustion heat is converted to mechanical energy producing electricity to off-set electrical site loads and heat, as hot water, for process heating applications.

Installing a Biomass CHP system reduces CO2 emissions from fossil fuels and future proofs your energy costs for up to 15 years.

Uses & Benefits

  • Localised decentralized power and heat production
  • Good Return On Investment
  • Renewable Energy
  • Future proofs energy price hikes for up to 15 years
  • Carbon reduction credits where applicable
  • CO2 foot-print reduction
  • Non-domestic RHI incentives are still available

Why Environ for Biomass CHP?

Environ Designs, Installs and Commissions Steam Cycle CHP, Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) CHP and Hot Gas CHP systems recovering heat generated from a Biomass Combustor.

Environ has technical and design collaboration agreements with several Combustion and ORC manufacturers in Europe, this combined with our expertise in EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Commissioning) as well as Project Management Services offers the best CHP solution for the client.

Designing the best CHP solution allows customers to take full advantage of exceptionally good returns and equipment payback when operating these systems as a Combined heat & power plant by reducing fossil fuel costs, off-setting electrical and heating site loads as well as receiving Renewable Heat Incentives (RHI) where applicable.

Environ works with CHP installations in Europe and the UK with up-times in excess of 95% based on an accumulated 2,000,000 hours of operation installed in a variety of applications.
